Hexazinone Solubility

Solubility at 25°C: Chloroform 3,880g/L, Methanol 2,650g/L, Dimethylformamide 836g/L, Acetone 790g/L, Benzene 940g/L, Toluene 386g/L, Hexane 3g/L, Water 33g/L. Stable at room temperature in aqueous solutions with a pH range of 5 to 9.

How to use Hexazinone

Hexazinone SL: Typically, use around 500 grams per mu, diluted with about 30 kilograms of water. Apply by spraying or irrigating at the base of plants. Ensure that the soil is adequately moist during application, and when irrigating at the roots, remove fallen leaves from the soil surface. If the height of bamboo, wood, and weeds is below 50 centimeters per mu, one bottle per mu may suffice; if it exceeds this height, approximately three bottles may be required. When adding water, you can consider adding an appropriate adjuvant like laundry detergent, diesel, organic silicon, etc., to enhance adhesion for optimal efficacy.
Hexazinone WDS: Apply around 5 kilograms per mu of granules, mix them with about 60 kilograms of fine soil or sand, and evenly spread the mixture on the surface of forest soil.

Suitable Crops

Hexazinone is commonly used for nurturing young evergreen coniferous forests like red pine, Scots pine, spruce, and larch. It serves various purposes, including pre-emergence weed and brush control, maintenance of forest firebreaks, and landscape transformations. This versatile herbicide effectively combats a wide range of monocot and dicot weeds as well as woody plants, such as yellow starthistle, pearl bush, hazelnut, willowleaf aster, prickly ash, poplar, birch, hornbeam, elm, water locust, yellow flag iris, and Japanese knotweed.

Application

1. Pre-Forestation Weed and Brush Control: Apply in mid-June to mid-July using a sprayer at each planting point (North Hemisphere). For densely populated shrubland, use 3 milliliters per point, which can be diluted with water 1-2 times or applied directly as a formulation. After 20-45 days, weed-free holes will form.

2. Young Forest Nurturing: Apply in late June to early July( North Hemisphere). Use an average of 1 milliliter per tree, diluted with water at a ratio of 4-6 times for spraying.

3. Elimination of Non-Target Tree Species: Directly inject 8-10 milliliters of 25% water-soluble solution around the roots of trees with a 10cm diameter at breast height.

4. Maintenance of Forest Firebreaks: Use 6 liters of 25% water-soluble solution per hectare, sprayed with 150-300 kilograms of water. For individual remaining shrubs and weeds, supplement the dosage with additional injections if needed.

5. Forest Stand Rehabilitation: Aerially distribute 10% granular formulation using aircraft to remove non-target tree species.

Note for using Hexazinone

1. Eye Irritation Warning: Hexazinone can cause severe irritation to the eyes but has no sensitizing effects on the skin. Chronic toxicity tests have not shown any abnormalities. It is low in toxicity to fish and birds.

2. Avoid Use in Crop Fields: Hexazinone should never be used on cultivated crop lands.

3. Slow Weed Control: Hexazinone has a relatively slow weed control rate. To enhance weed control speed, it can be mixed with other herbicides like Diuron or similar types. (This decision and purchase can be made independently or by consulting experienced local experts for the correct ratio.)

4. Proper Dilution Temperature: When diluting the herbicide with water, avoid using excessively low temperatures as it can lead to poor dissolution of the herbicide, affecting its effectiveness.

5. Root Irrigation and Foliar Spraying: For soil that has been sprayed with the herbicide, it's crucial to wait for at least 6 months before further use.
